Roll for initiative.
An official set of digital tools for Dungeons & Dragons is coming this summer.
The new tools, developed by Wizards of the Coast and game-communication company Curse, includes “rules compendium, character builder, digital character sheets, and more.”
D&D Beyond is coming to “any device,” meaning it won’t be limited strictly to desktop computers. It also includes access to news, “articles, forums, and more.”
Dungeons & Dragons senior director Nathan Stewart said D&D Beyond represents “a way forward for D&D.”
“We’re excited to get them into the hands of players soon,” he said.
Beta sign-ups for the new digital service are currently open on the official D&D Beyond website. The site also promises more news and details about both the “beta and launch” are “coming soon.”
Earlier this year, Wizards of the Coast opened a new digital studio, with the purpose of bringing “partnerships and collaborations” to “bring Magic and D&D to unexpected settings, genres, and platforms.”
