Party time? Excellent.
While the main game has the player exclusively controlling lead character, Noctis, Final Fantasy XV‘s DLC packs will make each of his roadtripping buddies – Ignis, Gladiolus and Prompto – playable for their own adventure.
While the game’s season pass, and those packs, were announced last week, we hadn’t had confirmation of the nature of each until they were listed on the game’s official website (as translated by Siliconera).
While we know that the Gladiolus, Ignis and Prompto packs will be new episodes featuring each character, no specific information’s been given about what each will involve.
As for the other three packs, the website tells us that DLC 1 (Booster Pack) “will help you get powerful weapons that will help out in battle”, DLC 3 (Episode Holiday Pack) “includes a splendid item pack to make your game more gorgeous”, and DLC 6 (Expansion Pack) “makes it possible to enjoy a completely new way to play Final Fantasy XV.”
No pricing has been released for the Final Fantasy Season Pass outside of Japan where it’s listed for 2,700 yen, which is around $30 / £20. It will also be bundled with the Deluxe Edition, which comes in at $85 in the US.
Final Fantasy XV will come to Xbox One and PlayStation 4 worldwide on September 30.
