Witcher 3: Game of the Year Edition Release Date Announced

What now, you piece of filth?

The much-requested, then rumored, then confirmed Witcher 3: Wild Hunt – Game of the Year Edition now has a release date of August 30 for PC, Xbox One and PS4, and is available for pre-order on Amazon.

Comprising the main game, both major expansions, every piece of free DLC and all updates, it’s a hefty package, one that CD Projekt Red thinks will offer you at least 150 hours of gameplay to get through.

It’s worth your time – we gave the main game a 9.3 review, and both the Hearts of Stone and Blood and Wine expansions a 9.0 apiece. Fittingly, it was also our Game of the Year for 2015.

It marks the very end of CD Projekt’s work on the game – the Polish studio now moves onto its standalone Gwent game, as well as sci-fi RPG Cyberpunk 2077.

It’s not clear whether there will be another Witcher game, but Witcher 3 director Konrad Tomaszkiewicz certainly hopes so.
